This card is the first I have designed with the wonderful stamp set Rooted In Nature, and the coordinating Nature’s Root dies. These are carrying over to our wonderful new catalogue that launches on 3rd June.
I used Crumb Cake cardstock as a base, this card has become such a staple to me, it suits both rustic and elegant cards so I thought it perfect for a serene card using trees and nature.
I don’t use vellum nearly enough, so I had been meaning to use an embossing folder with it which had caught my eye from fellow demonstrators. This folder leaves a beautiful imprint of text and adhering it underneath the Very Vanilla stitched oval means there is no glue showing through the vellum.
To add interest I added a piece of braided linen trim which adds to the rustic look if you separate some of the strands it leaves a lovely frayed appearance.
The image of the lovely tree is one of many in the double stamp set, and the matching die cuts it out perfectly, using dimensionals lifts the image making it stand proud. The sprig of leaves is very elegant and using the Crumb Cake colour for the card and the ink gives a very uniform look.
To finish off the card I stamped two separate leaves onto vellum using the same ink Crumb Cake and used the matching dies. Adding one of the sentiments onto a slim piece of Very Vanilla card stock and cutting a banner shape into the end is the final touch.
Adding a little something inside a card makes it extra special I think, so another stitched oval and a sprig of leaves makes the card complete.
I am really pleased with the look of the final card, and really recommend having a play with this wonderful set. If you should wish to purchase any of the products I have used, click on the image below and it will take you directly to my Stampin’ Up store.

I am so pleased this lovely set of stamps and dies is carrying over to the new catalogue when it is released early June. The animals are so cute and can be used for many different occasions.
For this card I used the wonderful new rectangle stitched dies which are becoming invaluable to me and because they give the layers of a card a special touch.
So Saffron card is such a pretty yellow and was used for the largest rectangle and a layer of Crumb Cake with the next size. I stamped the Crumb Cake with the wonderful Crackle Paint stamp, giving a really effective background.
Be Mine stitched dies have some beautiful hearts, I used the large scalloped one to cut in So Saffron card and stuck it down.
The rhino is stamped in smokey slate and the same colour blending pen is used to give extra shading, with a bit of daffodil delight on the beak of the little bird.
When the rhino is die cut, I added dimentionals to give it some height, and punched out a couple of sprigs with the leaf punch in vellum and added them.
The sentiment is stamped on whisper white card and I used the small wide rectangle die from the rectangle stitched dies to cut this, and again adhered using dimentionals.
I like to add some interest inside the card even if I am not using a greeting. This stamp is again from the same set and just adds a little something extra.
Hope you liked this card, and should you want to get the set and have a play yourself, click on the images below to order what your require, or if you are local feel free to contact me direct.
I created this card for the recent birthday of my fiance, he enjoys nothing more than spending time tinkering with cars. This is very handy when I enjoy my crafting, suits us both perfectly!
He was very impressed with the card which was very easy to construct. Stamping with these beautiful products can be kept very simple, or as embellished as you like. The beauty of card making and any paper crafting is you develop your own style and often this changes with your love of the hobby, mine certainly has, and continues to do so.
I used thick Whisper White card stock for the base and the wonderful classic garage 6×6 papers that will be retiring at the end of the month. The great news is that the stamp set and coordinating dies will remain. (Good tip is to order before the end of May to get them as a bundle and save 10%!)
Using the red background paper from the classic garage papers as a mat, I used another great paper which featured the image of the car stamp in the set. I stamped the car stamp in classic black, and using dimensionals I placed this over the same image on the paper, giving it a raised appearance.
Taking a strip of whisper white, I stamped it with one of the great stamps in the set in Real Red and added a couple of sets of gears I had die cut from the Silver Foil sheets available. Very simple but effective. Inside you can add further images from the stamp set to add interest.
I love this set of dies and stamps. It is so hard sometimes to find images for a male card. My father is another car nut, so I will be using this set for Father’s Day this year. See below all the products I used, and click on any images you wish to purchase and it will take you directly to my Stampin’Up shop.
A few weeks ago it was my youngest daughter’s 18th birthday. I decided that I wanted to make her something a little more special than just a card. She had a new lovely decorated bedroom in tones of yellow and grey, so I came up with the idea for this lovely frame.
I have used a frame from Ikea which has the lovely mount already set in. I layered up using the beautiful Crushed Curry card and some grey patterned paper that was from a discontinued set from our Christmas catalogue.
The beautiful laser cut speciality paper provided the perfect frame for the cake, I also cut into this to release the lovely sprigs which I coloured using an aqua painter and the crushed curry stamp pad.
The bunting using the yellow gingham gala paper was perfect to stamp her name on. Phoebe has always been my little sunshine, and rightly so as this is what her name means. When I saw the stamp in the catalogue with this sentiment in, I knew I had to have it to use for her. Where does the time go, from babies to adults in the blink of an eye!
The above is a list of products I used to complete this. Our new gorgeous annual catalogue is due to be released early June, so some of the above items will be retiring, anything that takes your fancy can be ordered by clicking on the product desired and it will be posted directly to you from my demonstrator account.
Wishing you all a wonderful Easter.
